Winter Routine 2020

Winter Drop Off and Collection Routine

In order to be prepared for the Winter and possible icy conditions, the following routines will start on Monday 30th November 2020. These new routines has been agreed with Health and Safety and are in line with our risk assessment and WG Guidance. Staff will be on hand to help and support these new routines – please listen to staff and follow any instructions. It will take a little time to become familiar with these new routines but we can do it and we can do it well. Please work with us. Remember it may take a little longer to drop off and collect and it will be busier than usual but always remember we are doing this to keep everyone safe. These routines aim to keep everyone as safe as possible and as separate as possible. Please remember – it is your responsibility to maintain 2m distance from others and help keep classes separate – please work with us and play your part. I will be out every morning along with staff members whether it is pouring with rain or icy cold – wrap up and make sure you have an umbrella ready!

The front yard / front of the school will be gritted. The remainder of the school will not be gritted by the time school starts. Only walk on gritted areas.

The double gates will remain as the way in and the single gate will remain as the way out. Please continue to sanitise hands on entry – I understand that you may not be able to if you are wearing gloves but if you can – please do!

Keep to the gritted areas only and walk slowly.

You will need to pass each other at some point – please do so quickly and leave as much distance as possible between you and others. – please don’t stop for a chat. Parents are encouraged to wear face coverings whilst on school premises. Although not mandatory – this is encouraged.

We will work with CCBC to try and ensure outside the school premises is gritted as much as possible, however this is the responsibility of the council.
